This Infection Prevention & Control training course provides a comprehensive introduction to the issues surrounding infection control and highlights working practices employed to prevent the spread of infection.

By the end of the Infection Prevention & Control training course attendees should be able to recognise the legal duties of the employee and employer, recognise different infectious diseases & the four types of infection - how they are contracted through transmission and how they are treated, identify ways of reducing the spread of such diseases, demonstrate good hand washing procedures, basic Covid-19 awareness, signs & symptoms of Covid-19, history of Covid-19, recognise the need for good hygiene practices, state the procedures for dealing with the use and disposal of sharps and state the correct way to deal with clinical and general waste.
