Manual Handling
THE ALL WALES PASSPORT SCHEME IN MANUAL HANDLING WAS ORIGINALLY DEVELOPED IN 2003 BY HEALTH AND SAFETY PROFESSIONALS WITHIN THE NHS TRUSTS IN WALES, TO ENSURE HIGH STANDARDS AND CONSISTENCY OF MANUAL HANDLING WITHIN THE NHS IN WALES.
The scheme has now been adopted as the standard for manual handling in Wales. An advantage of the scheme is that it enables carers to transfer their skills in moving and handling from one organisation/institution to another. The training programme is broken down into modular sections from A-F to allow for flexibility in its delivery and in the appropriateness of its contents to those being trained.
PLEASE NOTE: The practical equipment (bed & hoist) are essential to this training and will need to be made available for delegate use during this course.

Sova
The aims of these courses is to give the learner knowledge and skills to Safeguard Adults and effectively prevent abuse with confidence to report any suspicions they may develop. The learner will also gain knowledge in recognising the signs of abuse and how to manage them in accordance with current legislation, company policies and procedures.
Food Safety
The Food Hygiene and safety training courses are designed to extend & develop knowledge, skills and understanding of effective food safety and is essential for all food handlers. This training provides a comprehensive introduction to the issues surrounding food safety and highlights safe working practices that are fundamental in preventing food related illnesses. By the end of the course attendees should be able to work with food in a hygienic manner to prevent contamination and have an understanding of the key issues and best practice of food safety and the implications of non compliance.
PBM
This managing challenging behaviour training course aims to enhance delegates' knowledge and skills in reducing and managing potential challenging behaviour within a workplace.
Delegates will use these relevant skills and knowledge to effectively manage challenging situations.
The course will give each delegate a much clearer understanding of the correct ways to respond & manage challenging behaviour within the workplace;
Fire Marshalling
Most fires can be prevented. Everybody within the workplace has responsibility for fire safety. The key to avoiding fire within your business is understanding factors and behaviours within your business and carrying out a thorough assessment to minimise risk.
This course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to avoid the risk of fire in your business.
The Course: This course offers a comprehensive guide to best practice when it comes to fire safety. Ideal for managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire marshals and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.
The course is also ideal for employee inductions, as refresher training for existing staff or for those looking to go on to achieve a recognised level 2 fire safety qualification.
Fire Safety
This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in fire safety. The course is designed to meet and comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It covers regulations, the fire triangle, evacuation, fire equipment, good housekeeping, the law, training requirements, calling the fire service, fire doors, smoke alarms, risk assessing and precautions.
Dementia Awareness
This Dementia Awareness training course has been designed as an introduction to dementia so that carers can learn more about the subject and feel more confident about caring for someone with the condition.
The course covers all aspects of dementia, including the symptoms to look out for, information on how dementia is diagnosed and tips for adaptations you can make to the person's home and lifestyle in order to make everyday living easier.
